Only one special NVIDIA video card for mining turned out to be made on a new chip

NVIDIA recently introduced dedicated CMP HX GPUs for mining. The media received confirmation

that only one model from the CMP line is based on the latest Ampere chips. The rest got the old ones.

There will be four graphics cards in total in the lineCMP HX. Only one of them will use the 8nm Ampere architecture - this is the CMP 90HX. It will be based on the PG132 board, the same as the RTX 3080, and will receive a GA102-100 GPU. This model will be characterized by a power consumption of 320 W, and it will have 10 GB of memory.

Meanwhile, the CMP 30HX, 40HX and 50HX models are based on the 12nm Turing architecture. For example, the 50HX is based on a TU102 GPU and a board similar to the RTX 2080 Ti.

Recall that video cards for mining do not support connection to a display.
