Chinese manufacturer Oppo is a leader in fast charging. As of April 2020 Oppo
Oppo 125W charger
According to @DigitalChatStation reports, the chargerOppo's 125W device charges a 4500mAh battery in 20 minutes. However, the future flagship will most likely use its 65W. That's because the 125W solution isn't quite ready yet. Heating control is not perfect (this could also be design related).
Oppo claims it is a charging solutioncan provide up to 41% in just 5 minutes, that's for a 4000mAh battery. However, it will be fully charged within 20 minutes. In addition, its temperature remains below 40 ° C when the screen is off and in standby mode. OPPO 125W Super Flash Charger supports VOOC, SuperVOOC, PPS, PD and QC protocol compatible. It also supports 12.5A input current, multi-pole technology, two 6C batteries.
OPPO also said that it can charge everythinguse 125W super flash charging technology. This means that whether it is a mobile phone, tablet or computer, it can charge it. Users also don't need to worry about the charging protocol. This technology supports PPS, PD and QC as previously mentioned ... as long as it is Type-C compliant, it can be “charged”.
There are five levels of protection, which makes chargingfast and safe. Conversion efficiency reaches 98%, with three injection pumps connected in parallel. 125W Flash Charging focuses on higher charging currents to maintain power density. This will also help maintain the temperature while shortening the charging time. The circuit includes 20 VDC @ 6.25 A.
In a previous press statement, Oppo did not leavewe are in the dark as to what to expect from 125W flash charging technology. The company believes this technology is a significant upgrade to the existing SuperVOOC. Unfortunately, Oppo did not say when we will see a device with this technology. This means that we are not sure when we will see a commercial product with this feature. However, since this is already official, we expect future flagships to get it.
As a reminder, iQOO also demonstrated its120W fast charging technology. iQOO claims its solution can fully charge a 4000mAh battery in 15 minutes. It seems to be faster than Oppo's 125W solution. In addition, the iQOO 120W ultra-fast charger is TUV Rheinland certified. We have not seen this in other solutions.
