OPPO MeshTalk: a technology that allows you to call and send messages without the Internet and mobile networks

OPPO today, in addition to the under-screen camera, showed another unusual one at the MWC exhibition in Shanghai

technology - MeshTalk.

What it is

It is a protocol that allows userssmartphones to make calls and send messages without using a mobile network, Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. The technology works at a distance of up to 3 km in open space. This distance can be increased by using another smartphone with the same function as a repeater.

The company claims that the new method is very energy efficient and, most importantly, safe, since data exchange occurs directly from device to device.

When to expect

Unfortunately, the manufacturer has not yet announced when the new technology will be introduced into smartphones.
