Check Point told reporters about this. According to experts, from January to March 2020, the activity of cybercriminals decreased by 17%, but then increased sharply again.
So over the past two weeks the number of cyber attacksincreased from several hundred to five thousand per day. Check Point noted that sites with the words “corona” or “covid” in the domain, as well as files whose names are related to coronavirus, are potentially dangerous.
According to experts, since January 51 thousand such domains have been registered. At the same time, 84% of all attacks were carried out through phishing sites.
