Peacock has released a new trailer for the upcoming Twisted Metal series:

Twisted Metal – this is original

a look at the PlayStation car fighting series,executive produced by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, writers of “Deadpool” and “Zombieland”. Michael Jonathan Smith, who wrote and produced Cobra Kai, also served as a writer and executive producer on the show.

According to the official synopsis, the seriestells how “a tongue-tied outsider is offered a chance at a better life, but only if he can successfully deliver a mysterious package across a post-apocalyptic wasteland”:

“With the help of a car thiefWith an axe, he'll face wild marauders driving destructive vehicles and other dangers of the open road, including a crazy clown driving the all-familiar ice cream truck.

In addition to Maki, Twisted Metal featured Will Arnett, Samoa Joe, Thomas Haden Church, Stephanie Beatriz and Neve Campbell.

Twisted Metal will begin airing in the US on July 27th with an average episode length of 30 minutes.
