Philips Announces Evnia 8000 OLED Monitors Starting at £1299

Philips has introduced two new monitors based on OLED panels. New items have replenished the Evnia 8000 series.

The Evnia 34M2C8600 is equipped with a curved10-bit WQHD OLED with a resolution of 3440 x 1440 pixels. The diagonal is 34”, and the refresh rate is 175 Hz. Response time - 0.1 ms. The matrix has a brightness of 450 nits, 99.3% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, 121.3% NTSC coverage, 148.8% sRGB and 97.8% Adobe RGB.

Philips equipped the monitor with two HDMI 2 connectors.0, one DP 1.4, USB-C with support for 9W, USB-B, and four USB-A. The novelty also received a KVM switch that allows you to use a monitor with two computers, and two speakers with a total power of 10 watts.

More advanced monitor Philips Evnia 42M2N8900also received a 10-bit OLED panel (flat), but increased the diagonal to 42 ”, and the resolution to 3840 x 2160 pixels (4K ULTRA HD). The frame rate is an unusual 138 Hz, the response time is 0.1 ms, the DCI-P3 color gamut is 98.5%, NTSC is 110.3%, sRGB is 131.3%, and Adobe RGB is 93.6%.

The output of each of the two speakers has increased from5W to 10W. Each supports DTS technology. The set of interfaces is the same as in the more compact model, but HDMI 2.0 has been replaced with HDMI 2.1. A KVM switch is also included.

Price and when to wait

The Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 has a MSRP of £1299 and sales start in February. Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is priced at £1499 and is already on sale.
