Scientists at the University of California conducted a study and called pistachios a means of reducing
The Izvestia publication writes briefly about the study.During the experiment, half of the volunteers ate just over 40 grams of pistachios daily for four months. Without exception, all volunteers increased physical activity and adjusted their diet. It’s just that some people ate pistachios and others didn’t.
As a result, all participants in the experiment lost 5% oftheir original weight, but those who ate nuts received additional benefits. Their blood pressure dropped, they ate more fiber and less sweets. In addition, they were found to have higher blood levels of the antioxidant carotenoids lutein, alpha and beta carotene.
