The PocketBook company announced its new electronic “reader” called InkPad Color.
What is known
The main feature of the device was 7.8-inch E-Ink display with a resolution of 1872x1404 pixels and a new version of Kaleido technology. Thanks to it, the panel received improved contrast and color saturation. In addition, the screen has a pixel density of 300 ppi for monochrome images and 100 ppi for color. Also in the new product, the image refresh rate has been improved.
PocketBook InkPad Color is runningdual-core processor paired with 1 GB of RAM. The storage capacity of the device is 16 GB. If necessary, it can be expanded with a microSD card. The gadget is powered by a 2900 mAh battery. For connection, the “reader” has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. The new product supports many formats, including ePub, PDF, CBR, CBZ, FB2, HTML, MOBI, as well as the ability to listen to audio files. The PocketBook InkPad Color comes with a Linux-based system.
Price and when to wait
The new product has already begun to be sold in the USA and Europe. The issue price is $329.
Updated:As it turned out, the PocketBook InkPad Color is the same PocketBook 740 Color, which debuted in the CIS countries at the beginning of the month. The new product will appear in Ukraine in the near future with a price tag of UAH 8,599.
