Astronomers have confirmed that a "potentially hazardous" asteroid should make its closest approach to Earth at night

Object 2007 FF1 is known as an Apollo-class asteroid, of which there are about 15,000.Its orbit around the Sun, which it travels for 684 days, intersects with the orbit of the Earth.
