A powerful drone flies 1,000 km at a time at the speed of a Sapsan

A powerful new drone delivers up to 96 small packages for the US Postal Service. All of them are stored in a spacious

internal cargo compartment. The peculiarity of the Cento model is that the drone does not need anything other than two parking spaces for take-off, landing and automatic unloading. Bay Area company MightyFly is currently working with the Federal Aviation Administration to obtain approval for long-distance flights.

Basically, the drone itself is a carbon fiber glider that weighs just 161kg when fully loaded. The payload weight itself is 45 kg.

The drone is equipped with eight lifting screws, whichinstalled in power plants. They resemble landing skids. The Cento also has a rear pusher for efficient cruising. It is supported by high-mounted wings.

The drone covers the distance with a maximum speed of 240 km/h. This means that it moves almost the same as the Sapsan high-speed train (up to 250 km/h).
