Presentation of Xiaomi 13 and MIUI 14 postponed indefinitely

Tomorrow, December 1, Xiaomi was supposed to hold the last major announcement of this year. Its themes were

Xiaomi 13 flagship series on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2,as well as the new user interface MIUI 14. However, unfortunately, plans had to be changed. On its social media page, the Chinese company announced that tomorrow's event has been canceled and a new date will be determined later. Xiaomi also thanked for their understanding and support, but did not speak directly about the reason for making such a decision.

There is an option with protests on the surfaceregarding anti-Covid restrictions that are gaining momentum in some major cities of the Middle Kingdom, but the real reason is the death of the former leader of the republic Jiang Zemian (Jiāng Zémín), who died today at the age of 97. Funeral events are being formed, until then all entertainment events, including the presentation of Xiaomi 13, must be cancelled. We will inform you when a new date is known.
