Presentation of Xiaomi 13 and MIUI 14 postponed indefinitely

Tomorrow, December 1, Xiaomi was supposed to hold the last major announcement of this year. Its themes were

Xiaomi flagship series 13 on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2,as well as the new user interface MIUI 14. However, unfortunately, plans had to be changed. On its social media page, the Chinese company announced that tomorrow's event has been canceled and a new date will be determined at a later date. Xiaomi also thanked for understanding and support, but does not speak directly about the reason for making such a decision.

On the surface lies the option of protestsregarding the anti-covid restrictions that are gaining momentum in some major cities in China, but the real reason is the death of the former leader of the republic, Jiang Zemín, who passed away today at the age of 97. Funeral events are taking shape, until then, all entertainment events, including the presentation of Xiaomi 13, must be cancelled. We will let you know when a new date is known.
