As Bloomberg writes, citing its own sources, Apple is working on a new MagSafe accessory for the iPhone 12.

The new accessory consists ofan additional battery that is attached to the smartphone using these same magnets. It will help you recharge a discharged iPhone 12 at any time and increase battery life.

Apple planned to release additionalbattery a couple of months after the release of the iPhone 12. But testing of it revealed serious problems that seem to be related to the software. So, when connecting, an erroneous message appeared about the battery overheating. In addition, there are problems when switching between using the device with an iPhone in a case and without it.
