In the study, 56 healthy adults were givenlow doses of LSD (13 or 26 mcg) or placebo at intervals of 3-4 days. However, neither the participants nor the researchers knew who received the active dose and who received the inactive placebo. After taking the dose, participants completed questionnaires and completed tasks related to emotion processing, working memory, and general cognitive abilities.
