PS4 in flight: Call of Duty Modern Warfare will be released only on Xbox One and PC

According to the representative of the studio, Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe could not provide support for beta in the Russian Federation. “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances,we confirm that Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe will not be able to support open beta testing of the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare network game in Russia. We regret this situation, but respect Sony's decision. However, our plans for open beta testing on Xbox One and PC remain unchanged. The beta test will be available to players on these platforms from September 19 to September 23, 2019, ”a representative of Activision wrote.

In addition, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare has already disappeared from the Russian PlayStation Store, and, according to store support (via DTF), will not return to virtual shelves. In the Xbox store and Battle.net the game will not be removed from sale until the moment, but the details are being clarified. Gamers who already bought Modern Warfare for the PS4 will receive a refund.

In Ukraine, beta testing of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will go according to plan, and the game can still be pre-ordered on the PlayStation Store:

Playstation 4

  • For pre-order owners: from September 12 to September 13.
  • Open beta: September 14-16.

Beta for testing cross-play between PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC:

  • For owners of pre-orders for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC: from September 19 to 20.
  • Open beta on all platforms: September 21-23.
