Pwn20wnd released beta unc0ver v2.0.2 with bug fixes

Hacker Pwn20wnd started a wave of beta versions with unc0ver v2.0.0 in late November, but testing quickly ended due to

serious bug. A few days later, the hacker released v2.0.1 to the public.

However, now Pwn20wnd has released another beta unc0ver with version number 2.0.2. The hacker officially announced the release on his Twitter page.

According to the official hacker page on GitHub, beta unc0ver v2.0.2 contains the following changes:

  • Fixed unc0ver application bugs.
  • Improved jailbreak speed.
  • Updated accompanying resources.
  • A new technique is used to prevent re-sound.

Although the beta update for unc0ver is publicly available, it is still beta. We recommend that you wait until the final version of the jailbreak is released, and only then install it on your device.

The most significant change to the new version isnew technique for preventing re-sounding on jailbroken devices. According to the developer Jake James, this technique will forever stop the re-sound and provide additional benefits, such as the smooth operation of FaceTime, iMessage, etc.

Pwn20wnd should release the final version of the update in the coming days if serious bugs are not detected. In the meantime, you can download the public beta from the Pwn20wnd repository on GitHub.
