Quite another thing: Nvidia showed Quake 2 with RTX support

Game developers are still in no hurry to add support for RTX technology to their projects. So Nvidia

I decided to add ray tracing myself to a fan mod for Quake 2.

What it looks like

In Quake 2 RTX, in addition to advanced lighting,High resolution models and textures are used taken from the Quake 2 XP project. Also added here is support for Nvidia Flow for fire, smoke and particle effects. Compared to other fan crafts, Nvidia's mod looks much neater and more natural, especially in dynamics. But with the addition of RTX, the game loses its flavor and takes on a completely different atmosphere. It’s as if we find ourselves in an attraction under the open summer sky, and not on a planet suffocating from pollution. So as a demonstration it’s good, but connoisseurs would rather prefer the OpenGL version.
