Radishes grown in space

NASA astronaut Kathleen Rubins recently harvested fresh radishes grown in space. This event is important for

development of food production in microgravity conditions. Without this, long-term human missions to the Moon and Mars will be difficult to accomplish.

Radish was grown in a special installation AdvancedPlant Habitat (APH) aboard the International Space Station (ISS). NASA also shared a time-lapse showing the plant growing for 27 days.
