Ray tracing and improved graphics: Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition for PC Coming Soon

Representatives of 4A Games shared the news that a major update to Metro Exodus will appear on Steam, Epic Games

Store, Good Old Games and Microsoft Store on May 6th.

What is known

The developers have added DLSS 2 support to the game.0 for NVIDIA video cards, thereby increasing image detail, frame rate and screen resolution. Also, all light sources are now equipped with ray tracing. You cannot disable ray tracing, so the game will only work on computers with a video card that supports this feature. Most likely, Metro Exodus will be the only game in the series with such technology - 4A said that there are no plans to add ray tracing to Metro Redux yet.

Launch a new version of the game on Linux or Mac OSwill not work: only Windows. But those who already have the original Metro Exodus will be able to get the updated one for free. By the way, players who are afraid of losing progress have nothing to worry about - all the improved versions for PC and ninth generation consoles now have the ability to unlock chapters.
