Matra BAE Dynamics Alenia (MBDA) represented by MBDA Deutschland and Raytheon Missiles & Defense agreed to start production
What is known
There is already a joint venture in GermanyRaytheon and MBDA, which is called COMLOG. It now plays a key role in the maintenance and logistics of the Patriot air defense systems deployed throughout the country.
New roadmap designed by Raytheon andMBDA, involves meeting the demand for Guidance Enhanced Missile-Tactical (GEM-T) anti-missiles from the German military by launching the production of interceptors at the COMLOG plant. In addition, Germany will be able to supply GEM-T to partners armed with Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems.

GEM-T, is one of the Patriot anti-missiles,available to the US military and international customers. The interceptor provides enhanced capabilities to defeat tactical ballistic missiles, cruise missiles or enemy aircraft. MBDA says the collaboration with Raytheon will provide ideal conditions for Patriot deployment in Germany until 2048.
