Raytheon received additional funding from the US Navy for production

The US Navy has allocated another $171 million for the production andsupply of 111 Block V-level Tomahawk missiles. This means that one cruise missile costs just over $1.5 million. By comparison, in fiscal year 2022, the cost was $2 million.
The US Navy will receive 48 missiles, and the ArmyUnited States and Marine Corps - 50 and 13 units, respectively. Deliveries will be completed by November 2025. The Army and Marine Corps will receive the Tomahawk for the first time.
Marines will use rockets notonly from ships. Ground launchers are already being developed to launch from the islands. The US Army will use the Tomahawk with medium-range weapon systems (MRC), which are also in development.
The Block V level Tomahawk has an improveda navigation system that complicates detection and jamming. At the same time, the rocket can receive updates in flight. This variant is offered in two versions: Va for destroying moving naval targets and Vb for destroying fortified ground targets.
