RDARS Connects Eagle Eye CCTV Drones to Starlink Satellite Internet

Canadian firm RDARS has found a way to install security systems in areas where there is no Internet access.

What is known

Starlink helped her with this. The company was able to successfully connect unmanned aerial vehicles, which are part of the video surveillance system, to SpaceX's satellite Internet.

The key components of the RDARS system aredrones and ground station - Eagle Eye and Eagle Nest, respectively. The station previously supported only Wi-Fi and cellular networks, and now Starlink satellite Internet has joined the two communication options.

Representatives of RDARS say that in connectionEagle Nest to Starlink was attended by employees of an American company who helped realize their plans. But Canadians do not share any details of cooperation.

RDARS hopes that in the future Starlink antennasbecome smaller. This will allow them to be installed not on the Eagle Nest station, but directly on Eagle Eye unmanned aerial vehicles. For normal communication, drones will need speeds up to 2 Mbps.
