The Realme brand is actively developing its rangeecosystem products - TVs, laptops, headphones, toothbrushes and, of course, smart watches. Not long ago, Realme Watch 3 Pro was released in Russia. The company calls the main features of the new product 1.78″ AMOLED display and GPS support. And another 110 training modes, more than 100 watch faces and 10 days of battery life. It seems to sound good, and the price is also low - 5190 rubles. We need to figure it out in more detail!

Equipment and design
Realme Watch 3 Pro comes in long whitecardboard box. Inside it, in addition to the watch itself, you can find only a USB cable with a magnetic mount and documentation. Nothing extra. The packaging depicts a watch with a black case and a black strap - and no others exist in nature. But if you want more fun, then no problem - the straps are interchangeable (22L), you can attach any other. Take off and put on easily.
The watch case is made of plastic; backmatte and glossy edges. Sidewalls perfectly collect fingerprints and, most likely, are easily scratched; I'd rather see some other stuff. The Realme Watch 3 Pro has a so-called 2.5D glass on the front: flat on the inside and curved on the outside. Curves make swiping across the screen more comfortable, making it easier to control the watch. Well done for not saving and not putting a flat piece of glass.
On the cover of the watch, in addition to the charging contacts, you can seeheart rate monitor and pulse oximeter flashlights, as well as certification information. On the right side there is a single button and a microphone, on the left side there is a speaker. They are needed here not to listen to music, but to talk on the speakerphone directly from the clock. I tried, the sound quality and voice transmission is good.
Well, in front there is 1.78″ AMOLED displaywith a resolution of 448 x 368 pixels (11:9, 325 ppi). The screen frequency is the standard 60 Hz, but, surprisingly, the inside of the watch is powerful enough to provide an almost constant 60 fps in the interface. The interface is very smooth and very responsive; Neither the Mi Band, nor the Huawei Watch GT, nor even the Samsung Galaxy Watch work that fast. Probably, based on the experience of interacting with the interface, this is the most pleasant fitness watch on the market. The screen is very contrasty and bright (500 nits), but auto brightness is severely lacking. Unfortunately, the manufacturer skimped on the light sensor.
Weigh Realme Watch 3 Pro a little (40.7 g together withstrap, 27 g of the watch itself), the thickness is also quite small. Of course, they cannot be called completely weightless and inconspicuous, but they do not interfere with wearing shirts and, in principle, do not feel like a weight worn on the wrist. This, in my opinion, is good; although, I know, some people prefer heavy hours. I can't imagine why.
Software
I usually start talking about watch software withsync apps – in this case Realme Link. But, to be honest, I don’t want to talk about Realme Link at all. It's the worst watch app I've ever seen (aside from baby watch software, it's a hell of a lot) with lurid design, lousy localization, and illogical structure. Why do watch faces load in the Health section? Why do I need a whole section with Realme ads? Why are the sections of the app called "On", "Health", "Workout", "Search" and "Me"? And why do I need "Virtual Reality" - a menu where you can see what the settings look like for different models without having the appropriate devices? It seems that they washed down the feature for the convenience of testers and did not cut it out of the release version. Ugh. In general, see the screenshots, and I will quickly try to forget this nightmare.
Compared to Realme Link, it's amazing howcool and thoughtful is the interface of the smartwatch itself. The main screen is, of course, the watch face; widgets of key functions scroll to the right and left: activity, sleep, heart rate, weather, music control. A swipe from the top opens a simple curtain with the date, battery charge, Bluetooth status and switches, a swipe from the bottom opens the notifications menu. You can delete them not only all together, but one at a time, which is amazing, because most smartwatches that I have used only allow you to delete all notifications at once.
The side button usually works like "Back", but onhome screen, it opens the applications menu. Its design can be customized: icons or list. There are 15 apps in total: Activity, Phone, Workout, Heart Rate, SpO2, Stress, Sleep, Exercise Records, Breathe, Alarm, Weather, Reminders, Women's Health, Tools and Settings. "Tools" is actually a combination of six applications: stopwatch, timer, player control, camera control, phone finder and flashlight. In the settings, you can select the watch face, change the brightness and timeout of the screen, configure Always-On Display, Do Not Disturb and raise-to-wake mode, select the vibration strength and ringtone volume for notifications, enable or disable auto-start workouts, reset the clock or view certification icons. And the Phone app is a natural dialer where you can dial a number and make a call. Cool!
Experience of use and tests
I spent a week with Realme Watch 3 Pro andI have mixed feelings this week. The first thing I want to complain about is the accuracy of the pedometer: right now I have 11,045 steps on Watch 3 Pro and 8281 steps on Mi Band 6. And it was Mi Band that counted correctly, and Realme watch came up with almost 3000 steps for me per day. In addition, the first 7 hours after turning on the pedometer did not work at all, and then it started working without any of my intervention. So I highly doubt it. But the heart rate monitor and pulse oximeter are trustworthy, as is sleep analysis.
The watch has its own GPS module and canbuild tracks without being tied to the phone; positioning accuracy is quite good (error within 10 meters if you do not enter the premises). But, unfortunately, navigation drains the watch a lot: for an hour of walking with the training turned on, the discharge was 14%. And despite the fact that, in general, the autonomy of the Realme Watch 3 Pro is more than decent.
The manufacturer's website claims 345 mAh and 10 dayswork without recharging. But the results are highly dependent on the settings. On the first day, I turned on everything I could turn on: constant pulse and oxygen monitoring, stress control, Always-On Display. With such madness, the clock was discharged by 20% in a day - that is, they would only be enough for 5 days. Then I thought that raise-to-wake would be enough for me and turned off Always-On Display, and over the next day the discharge was only 10% (that is, in this mode there will be just 10 days of work). On the third day, I also turned off the pulse + oxygenation + stress, turned the Watch 3 Pro into a watch with a pedometer and notifications - and in this mode they were discharged by only 5% in a day.
After that, I dug into the settings and found thereworkout auto-discovery feature. When turned on, I was warned that it spoils the autonomy (and, indeed, -12% per day), but they did not warn that it practically does not work. Well, that is, she once defined the "walking" workout as soon as I got to where I was going. And she didn’t define anything else, although this function had the opportunity to prove itself. So you don’t need to turn it on, and without it, the autonomy is excellent: exactly the declared 10 days in the heart rate monitor mode and 20 days in the pedometer mode with notifications.
Notifications arrive regularly, but not alwaysinstantly - apparently, Realme 10 Pro (I tested the watch paired with it, but in general any smartphones on which you can install the application are supported) choked the application in the background, despite all the settings set.
Conclusions
Realme Watch 3 Pro cost up to 6,000 rubles in Russia. For this money - fire. I only hope that they will firstly work on the Realme Link application so that it is not so dumb, and also fix the pedometer over time - now the accuracy is unacceptable. But a great screen, a very responsive and user-friendly interface, the ability to make phone calls and good battery life make the Realme Watch 3 Pro a great candidate for an inexpensive smartwatch.
