Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro: many cameras, productive chips and large batteries for cheap

Xiaomi held a presentation in China of two new smartphones: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. The devices received

four cameras, large batteries and “tasty” price tags.

Let's start with the top model. The new product received a 6.53-inch LCD display with Full HD+ resolution, waterdrop notch and 4.2 mm wide chin. The main feature of the device is its eight-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor with a liquid cooling system. Thanks to this combination, the device scores almost 300,000 points in AnTuTu. The smartphone also has 6/8 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of ROM, a large 4500 mAh battery with fast 18-watt charging, a headphone jack, a USB-C port and (yay!) an NFC module for contactless payments.

Redmi Note 8 Pro became the world's first smartphonewhich uses the 64 MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 module as the main camera sensor. It is complemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and the same camera for macro photography. “Front camera” in a 20 megapixel device with AI functions and a facial recognition system. The software installed in the smartphone is Android 9 Pie OS with MIUI 10 shell.

The regular version is more different from its older brothersimple characteristics, lack of NFC and a camera that is located not in the center, but in the left corner. It was equipped with a 4000 mAh battery with the same fast charging, a Snapdragon 665 processor like the Xiaomi Mi A3 and a main camera with a 48 MP main sensor (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2). The other three modules are no different.
