Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro: many cameras, productive chips and large batteries for cheap

Xiaomi held a presentation in China of two new smartphones: Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8 Pro. Devices received by

four cameras, voluminous batteries and “tasty” price tags.

Let's start with the top model. New received 6.A 53-inch LCD with Full HD + resolution, a drop-shaped notch and a “chin” 4.2 mm wide. The main feature of the device was its eight-core MediaTek Helio G90T processor with liquid cooling system. Thanks to this bundle, the device is gaining almost 300,000 points in AnTuTu. The smartphone also has 6/8 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of ROM, a 4,500 mAh battery with fast 18-watt charging, a headphone jack, a USB-C port and (hooray!) NFC-module for contactless payments.

Redmi Note 8 Pro is the first smartphone in the worldwhich uses the 64 megapixel Samsung ISOCELL Bright GW1 module as the main camera sensor. It is supplemented by an 8-megapixel wide-angle lens, a 2-megapixel depth sensor and the same camera for macro photography. Front-facing camera in a 20 megapixel device with AI functions and a face recognition system. The smartphone is running Android 9 Pie OS with MIUI 10 shell as software.

The regular version differs from the older brother moresimple characteristics, lack of NFC and a camera, which is located not in the center, but in the left corner. It was equipped with a 4000 mAh battery with the same fast charge, a Snapdragon 665 processor like the Xiaomi Mi A3 and a main camera with a 48 MP main sensor (Samsung ISOCELL Bright GM2). The remaining three modules are no different.
