Every year everyone gets budget phonesMore flagship features without paying extra for the brand. The new Redmi Note 9S announced by Xiaomi is just such an example.

The only thing that distinguishes the design of Note 9S fromThe design of much more expensive phones is the lack of curved edges of the display. However, for most users this is a plus. Otherwise, this is the first Redmi phone with a display that has a hole-hole, which Xiaomi calls DotDisplay.

6.67 inch LCD IPS display,91% screen-to-body ratio and 2400 x 1080 resolution (i.e. 20:9). The back of the phone is protected by Gorilla Glass 5, as is the display. There is also a 4-lens camera module at the back without a fingerprint sensor.

This is another new feature for Redmi phone— A fingerprint scanner that is built into the power button on the side of the phone. They are quite reliable and easy to use, so there are no complaints here.

The phone runs on Snapdragon 720G.Qualcomm's 7-series chip delivers approximately 40% more processor performance and AI applications — more than 100% compared to the previous Redmi Note model. The G in 720G stands for Gaming, which means games should run smoother than ever.

Redmi Note 9S comes in two versions of RAM + internal memory: 4 GB + 64 GB and 6 GB + 128 GB. Given the prices, you can easily buy the largest version.

What's most impressive about the 9S's specs?so this is his battery. The capacity is 5020 mAh — It's just a battery monster. Xiaomi promises more than 2 days of battery life, and we will see this in practice if you don't freeze in games. Don't think the battery will make the phone thicker than a brick, but know that at just 8.8mm in overall thickness, it's the thinnest phone with over 5,000mAh battery capacity, according to Xiaomi. The box will also give you 18W fast charging with a matching charger.

The phone also comes with new, improved speakers with 80% bass boost and a couple of fan-favorite features: a headphone jack and an infrared port.

Cameras. As we mentioned earlier, the Note 9S has four sensors. As you may have guessed, one of them is dedicated exclusively to enhanced bokeh. The rest are a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 5-megapixel macro camera. Manufacturers often omit telephoto lenses when they have a very high megapixel main camera, since cropped images can be adequately used as a zoom function.

Xiaomi promises clear and well-balanced photos with excellent detail even in low light thanks to the phone’s special night mode.

Price and release date. Now the best part — price. The Note 9S was often compared to the Galaxy A51 during the presentation and is described as having several advantages. This includes the cost.
