"Reset" a room to "factory settings": Apple's advanced technology is shown

A representative of an Internet company that develops software for online and

retail stores, Shopify Russ Maschmeyer (RussMaschmeyer demonstrated how Apple technology can be used to “reset” a room to “factory settings.” An AR program (AR, augmented reality) shows a room without furniture through a smartphone camera. Discuss

The software can smoothly "erase" the contents of the room oniPhone screen. Maschmeier believes the technology could one day be useful for e-commerce sites, allowing them to show shoppers what new furniture might look like at home, regardless of old furniture.

The program was created using Apple RoomPlanAPI, a tool for developers, which the company presented at WWDC this year. It allows an iPhone or iPad equipped with a LiDAR sensor to scan a room, understand its geometry and furniture, and create a 3D model.
