This was reported by the German publication Tagesschau.The fact is that the German government is blocking the transfer of infantry fighting vehicles, under the guise of a NATO agreement that alliance members will not supply heavy weapons to Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have long had the American M113 armored personnel carriers and the British FV103 Spartan. It is still unclear whether it will be possible to reach an agreement with Germany. At the same time, Rheinmetall has already started repairing another 14 infantry fighting vehicles. In total, the German defense company can find more than 70 such infantry fighting vehicles for Ukraine.

Marder is a German tracked combat vehicleinfantry. It has been in service with the Bundeswehr since the 1970s. The BMP has many modifications and can accommodate up to 10 people. The Marder boasts a sealed body made from several grades of armor plate up to 30mm thick. They protect the front of the BMP from 20 mm and 25 mm bullets from a distance of 200 m, and the sides from shrapnel and 7.62 mm small arms. As for weapons, this is a 20-mm RH 202 automatic cannon and a coaxial 7.62-mm MG3 machine gun. The BMP also has one machine gun on the roof of the troop compartment.
