Robot gait made even more human

German experts have taught the humanoid robot LOLA to stick to the walls with its hands when walking on

difficult terrain. So the robot's gait became even more similar to that of a human.

Using your hands when walking is not typical for robots like LOLA. He has 26 active joints and cameras in his head, which allow him to make a volumetric map of the surrounding space.

The robot also uses an algorithm - it is in advancecalculates hand movements. The device is able to create a map and mark zones on it - floor, walls and individual objects.
