Rocket "Proton-M" with two satellites launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome

The launch took place at 00:25 Moscow time from launcher No. 39 of site No. 200. Approximately ten minutes after the launch from

launcher 39, the satellites with the upper stage separated from the third stage of the Proton-M.

The satellites will be put into the calculated orbit in 18 hours. This is the only launch of the Proton-M launch vehicle in 2020.

The launch was supposed to take place a day earlier,however, the State Commission did not allow Proton-M to take off, scheduled for 00:27:42 Moscow time on July 30 due to the need for additional checks of components and assemblies. After completion of the work, permission was given for refueling and launch.

Preparations for the rocket launch took place against the backdrop of a difficult situation with coronavirus in Baikonur: on July 14, it became known that 30 people with a confirmed diagnosis of COVID-19 had died there.
