Rockstar is preparing for the release of Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, having registered the game in Australia

Judging by previous leaks, Rockstar is preparing to release Red Dead Redemption 2 on PC, and it looks like the release date is getting even closer.

What is known

It all started on August 20, when the InternationalThe Age Rating Coalition (IARC) has submitted an application to the Australian Classification Commission to register an age rating for Rockstar's Bonaire. Then the document was rejected, since there was no project with a similar name. Now the institution has sent a second request, changing the name of the project to Red Dead Redemption 2.

Rockstar did not directly indicate that this is a version forcomputers, but a new rating is assigned to the game if the next version appears. DLC and other updates do not require such a procedure, which suggests the imminent announcement of the PC version of Red Dead Redemption 2.

In addition, ResetEra users noticed onedetail. Before releasing GTA 5 on PC, the company also submitted a separate application for an age rating. The versions for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 were registered in one document and were listed as “multi-platform”, so to register the computer version, a new application had to be submitted.

It looks like the studio is going with Red Dead Redemption 2along the same path, registering the PC as a separate platform. Only two points are alarming. Firstly, the two in the title is written in Arabic and not Roman numerals, like the console version. Secondly, the author is not indicated, whereas in the registration of the “multi-platform” RDR 2 it was Rockstar Games. This may be an error on the part of the applicant, but it is worth mentioning.
