Roscosmos has chosen a place for the return of astronauts from the Moon

Roscosmos chose a landing site in the Belyaevsky district of the Orenburg region. The advantage of this site

is that there are no populated areas within a radius of eight km from the landing site. The villages that are located closest to the site are Staritskoye, Tsvetochnoye and Kryuchkovka.

This is where the return vehicle of the Eagle ship will land. This will happen after the flight to the Moon.

“At the preliminary design stage, based on the resultsreconnaissance work for the regular landing area and initial maintenance of the return vehicle of the manned transport complex, area number eight "Orenburg" was determined, located 64.5 kilometers southeast of the city of Orenburg with coordinates 51 degrees 28 minutes 57 seconds north latitude , 55 degrees 52 minutes 38 seconds east longitude with a radius of eight kilometers"

The state corporation will build a landing complex and a primary service complex for the Orel re-entry vehicle in the Orenburg region.

The flight to the Moon itself is being implemented in the 2028-2030s. The spacecraft will go into near-earth orbit without a crew in 2023, and with a crew in 2025.
