The creation of the Center is provided for by the Russian Federal Space Program for 2016-2025. It is planned that
Nine complexes will be located in the Centerreceiving and analyzing data: they will directly receive information from satellites of the remote sensing satellite "Meteor", "Canopus", "Resource", "Obzor" and other devices, which will be launched into orbit in the coming years. In particular, the control system will work with non-state orbital vehicles.
“The center will provide automatedmanagement of a unified geographically distributed remote sensing system, as well as assessment and quality control of data received from satellites. As part of the Remote Sensing Center, it is planned to create hardware and software complexes for a situational center, a computing cluster, a thematic data processing center, a service delivery center and a technology center.”
