Roskosmos patented a device for a reusable rocket

The new development is a mesh structure on Earth made of heat-resistant steel and a mechanical manipulator. By

The idea is that the rocket block at a certain altitude after launch will return to the planet along a calculated trajectory that will be set by the control system. 

The return stage will then descend to the base, sliding the tail section along the inner surface of the mesh structure.

In order for the landing to take place accurately, the developersuse a mechanical manipulator capable of grasping the spent stage. After the rocket unit descends to the base of the device, the engines will be turned off. To fix the stage inside the catcher, special fastening hooks are provided, located at the bottom of the structure. 

There are no reusable missiles in Russia now.In October last year, Roskosmos and the Progress Rocket and Space Center signed a contract for the development of a preliminary design for a space rocket complex with the first Russian reusable methane-powered rocket, Amur.
