Rumor: Huawei is ready to sell its Apple 5G modems

A few days ago we wrote that Qualcomm and Samsung refused to supply their 5G modems to Apple. But it seems to help

Chinese manufacturer Huawei may come to the company from Cupertino.

What is known

According to the American publication Engadget, citing its source, Huawei has changed its strategy and is ready to become a supplier of Balong 5000 5G modems, but exclusively for Apple. Unfortunately, it’s still hard to believe in such cooperation, given the Chinese manufacturer’s relationship with the US government. However, if they manage to reach an agreement, the release of an iPhone with support for the fifth generation network may accelerate.

Let us remind you that the Balong 5000 modem is already in usein Huawei Mate X smartphones and a special version of Huawei Mate 20 X. The chip supports mmWave 5G, sub-6 modules and is capable of transmitting data over 5G networks at speeds of up to 6.5 Gbit/s. It is also backwards compatible with 4G LTE, 3G and 2G.
