Russia has banned the sale of 61 models of Samsung smartphones

Back in July 2021, a Russian court banned Samsung from importing and using part of its products in Russia.

Then, basically, it was about the Samsung Pay payment system.

Now a fresh resolution has appeared, for thistimes of the Moscow Arbitration Court. According to him, the Korean Samsung Electronics and its Russian "daughter" are prohibited from importing 61 models of smartphones into the territory of Russia at once. RIA Novosti writes about it.

Among the "forbidden" were not only budget models like the Galaxy J5, but also premium options. Including the foldable flagships Samsung Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip.

Recall that the primary reason for the proceedingsis the lawsuit of the Swiss Sqwin SA against the Korean tech giant. The latter allegedly violated her rights to the invention of the "Electronic Payment System". As a result, the court upheld the claim and made an appropriate decision.
