Russia has launched the largest nuclear submarine in the world

For the first time, Vladimir Putin spoke about the development of Poseidon in March during his address to the Federal Assembly.

It is assumed that the bathyscaphe can be equipped with conventional or nuclear charges and will be able to destroy enemy infrastructure or aircraft carriers.

The submarine "Belgorod" was built according to the project 09852. While the submarine is not ready to sail - after launching it will be completed, and then its mooring and sea trials will begin.

The length of the submarine is 184 meters - it is 11 meters longer than the 941 “Shark” submarines, which were considered the largest in the world.

Earlier, Russian engineers began to testunmanned nuclear submersible Poseidon. It is assumed that the device will be able to carry a nuclear charge and move between continents at high speed and depth.
