Russia was offered to give up attempts to keep up with US aircraft carriers

Deputy President of the Russian Academy of Missile and Artillery Sciences for Information Policy,

Doctor of Military Sciences Konstantin Sivkov releasedmaterial in which he suggested that Russia give up all its attempts to keep up with US aircraft carriers and start creating light warships that could be compared in characteristics with the Indian Vikramaditya.

Sivkov believes that in Russia there is nofinancial and technological capabilities for building solutions that can compete with the latest American ships. Therefore, it is better for the country to concentrate on the creation of smaller weapons, with a displacement of about 40 thousand tons and with the ability to place 40 calculated aircraft on the deck. The expert also said that such a ship must be equipped with a gas turbine power plant and a catapult.

Recall that a little earlier in February, the American magazine The National Interest released material in which he shared his opinion that Russia is an outstanding land power.
