Russia will develop an ultralight rocket for low-cost launches

The Izvestia publication reported that Russia will develop an ultra-light rocket for inexpensive launches. So,

a reusable rocket will be implemented to transport macro- and nanosatellites to a 200-km Earth orbit.

It is reported that the new development of Russianscientists will differ from competitors in the cost-effectiveness of transporting cargo into orbit. According to published data, the delivery price will be about 12 thousand dollars per kg, and this, in turn, is two times lower than the average cost of competitors.

Budget launches due to simplifiedcarrier design, as well as a unique methane engine with a new nozzle configuration, which allows it to maintain traction during climb during flight. It is reported that the finished model of an ultralight rocket will be ready by 2025. As for the cost of this project, it amounts to about 2.5 billion rubles.
