It became known that Russia has signed a contract with China, according to which it will produce parts for
RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to the general director of Russian Helicopters Andrei Boginsky.
It is noted that negotiations with China have been going on since 2008. In 2016, the parties signed an intergovernmental agreement during a visit to Beijing. And on June 25, 2021, the contract was finally signed.
Andrei Boginsky said that Russian specialists will develop a transmission, a tail rotor and an anti-icing system. In total, the project is designed for about 13 years.
China now has several major combathelicopters, among them CAIC WZ-10 and Harbin Z-19. The first one was developed on the basis of project 941 of the Russian OKB im. Kamov. It was adopted by the PLA in February 2011.
