Russia will tighten surveillance of calls from anonymous numbers

The Ministry of Digital Development has developed a draft resolution following the adoption of amendments to the Law “On Communications” on July 2,

according to which Russian telecom operatorsare required to connect to the system created by Roskomnadzor and transfer to it data on calls and SMS messages to subscribers from abroad from substitute numbers. Discuss

The Mintsifra project involves an increase in the storage period for calls and SMS from replacement numbers from six months to a year. If operators ignore all these requirements, the fine could reach 1 million rubles.

The Ministry will be responsible for the implementation of the project and data storage, but the operators fear that they will have to spend heavily on installing new equipment that meets the tasks.
