Russian pensioners were underpaid due to database failures

The head of the Accounts Chamber of Russia, Alexey Kudrin, said that the Pension Fund (PFR) due to failures in the operation of databases

data underpaid pensioners hundreds of millions of rubles on time.

Kudrin said that the FIU has already accrued additional pensions.

“We checked the pension fund and it turned out thatThe personalized accounting databases of different structures: the Federal Tax Service, the Civil Registry Office and others were not maintained; as a result of untimely updating of personal data, pensioners were not accrued their pensions on time,” said the Head of the Accounts Chamber.

It is not known how many pensioners were missingmoney, and how long the failure lasted. The reason for this was commonplace errors in databases. For example, two accounts were opened for one person in the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation, and the pension was accrued only one at a time. This could have happened when the name was changed. Also, in the databases of different departments, it happened that the same SNILS number was assigned to two or more citizens.
