Russian scientists announced the creation of artificial horse meat

Kazan scientists announced that they were going to create artificial horse meat - meat grown from stem

animal cells with the help of special incubators.

Researchers believe cultivated meatcan become a healthier alternative to the usual one, since when it is created, animal cells grown in an environment without viruses and bacteria will be used. In traditional animal husbandry, antibiotics and other drugs that can harm human health are often used.

Scientists said they decided to createartificial horse meat because they were influenced by the traditions of the Republic of Tatarstan. The production technology of cultivated meat is as follows: first, samples of muscle tissue are taken from young foals, and then placed in a special incubator. Now researchers are looking for optimal conditions and composition of the nutrient medium so that muscle components can grow at maximum speed.

Scientists expect consumers to not feeldifferences between cultivated meat and ordinary. The first cutlet of artificial horse meat should appear in three years, and they plan to print a full-fledged piece of meat on a bioprinter in five years.
