The scientific expedition vessel "Akademik Fedorov" returned to St. Petersburg after an expedition to Antarctica.
The ship was returning from the shores of Antarctica for more than a month. On June 13, at about 5 am, the ship passed along the Kronstadt ship fairway and set off for the port.

Researchers brought scientific material with them,which will be further processed in the chambers. Already, scientists are forming the next, 67th Arctic expedition. This time they want to bring a research team to the Vostok station to drill a glacial lake.
The institute noted that in Antarctica now110 stations operate, 42 of them all year round. Russia has five year-round and five seasonal scientific stations in Antarctica. For example, on the southernmost continent the Russian Antarctic Expedition works all year round.
