The Russians began to use new improvised MLRS "Snezhinka" in the war against Ukraine.

What is known

Snezhinka is a relatively new jetmultiple launch rocket system. It, together with the Cheburashka MLRS, was presented by the occupation government in Donbass on May 9, 2018. The MLRS is installed on a KrAZ-260 chassis with a 6×6 wheel arrangement. The launcher has a pair of guides and uses 324 mm rockets with a launch range of 1.5-9.6 km.

In 2018 talk about jet systemvolley fire ceased after the head of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic Zakharchenko was liquidated. Local media reported that work on the MLRS was stopped.
