RuStore will be pre-installed on gadgets in Russia: what is it and why

In addition to the concept of developing the VK Video platform, which will be based on YouTube, within the framework of the Russian

Internet Forum (RIF) announced the launch of anotherone Russian application store - RuStore. According to VK CEO Vladimir Kiriyenko and the head of the Ministry of Digital Development Maksut Shadayev, the launch of the beta version of the project will take place on May 25. At this stage, the catalog will offer about 100 of the most popular applications, which will later be supplemented by projects of third-party developers on a voluntary basis - Kiriyenko emphasized that "we will not force developers." On the other hand, RuStore will be pre-installed on all gadgets sold in the country.

At the same time, the project is functionallybasic level of development. According to the roadmap, a rating system, push notifications and payment systems will be introduced in the summer, and analytical and marketing tools are expected to appear only by the end of the year.
