The contract will allow LG Display to receiveadditional income in the OLED panel market, while in the LCD segment, it is in the face of fierce competition from manufacturers from China. Samsung will buy high-quality 77” and 83” OLED displays.

Interestingly, Samsung has stopped productionown OLED panels in the middle of the last decade. The Korean company argued the decision by the unpreparedness of the market and the high cost. But, as you can see, this was the wrong step, and therefore the manufacturer recently returned to the production of OLED panels.

According to the source, next year Samsungwill receive 2 million displays from LG Display, and 1 million more in 2025. In 2026, deliveries will immediately increase to 5 million units. Thus, Samsung will order 10 million OLED panels within three years.

At the moment, Samsung has a modest 6% onthe OLED TV market. Sony's share is 26%. At the same time, LG controls more than half of the market. At the same time, LG Display complained about the drop in demand, so the new deal comes in handy.
