The Samsung Display blog published sketches of two new devices from the company, which may someday be released
What it is
The first image shows the advanced foldable Galaxy Fold smartphone. Only it folds not in one place, but in two at once. Accordingly, there are not two parts of the screen, but three.

With this form factor there is no need for additionalexternal display - you can use one of the parts instead. In addition, the area of the large screen increases, and when unfolded, you get a real tablet.
By the way, the LetsGoDigital publication created renderings of the finished gadget based on these layouts.

The second sketch shows a smartphonewith a roll-up display, part of which can be removed when not needed. The only obvious limitation is that such a thin display can only be used on a desktop surface.

It is unclear whether Samsung will produce such smartphones, but it is clear that Samsung Display can create panels for such devices.
