Samsung 2019 flagships will no longer receive One UI and Android updates

Samsung has decided to complete the life cycle of three flagship smartphones released in 2019.

But one model will continue to receive updates.

What is known

In 2019, the presentation of the family took placeSamsung Galaxy S10. It includes the Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10+, Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S10e models. All four smartphones received the Android 9.0 Pie operating system and the Snapdragon 855 / Exynos 9820 processor, depending on the region.

Four years after the premiere, flagshipsreceived the Android 12 operating system and the One UI 4.1 proprietary shell. Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10e and Galaxy S10+ will no longer receive software updates.

For unknown reasons, Samsung's life cycleThe Galaxy S10 5G isn't over yet. The smartphone will continue to receive updates. The same goes for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite. But this model stands apart. It was presented separately almost a year after the quartet of flagships and even received One UI 5.1 on Android 13.
