Samsung announced the Android Pie OS for the budget smartphone Galaxy J5 (2017)

Korean manufacturer Samsung has released for its budget smartphone Galaxy J5 (2017) a version of the Android 9 Pie OS.

What's new

The firmware has added a proprietary shell One UI,which is optimized for working with the device with one hand, a dark interface, new widgets in Always On Display mode, an updated Gallery application and all the main features of the pie. The company's developers also added the August security patch to the software.

When to expect

So far, only smartphone users in Russia have begun to receive the update. In the near future, the firmware will reach other countries.

Recall Galaxy J5 (2017) has 5.2-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1280 × 720 pixels. The Exynos 7870 processor with Mali-T830 graphics and 2/3 GB of RAM is responsible for the smartphone. The device has 16/32 GB of internal storage, the main 13-megapixel camera, 13-megapixel front and a 3000 mAh battery.
