Samsung has announced the Odyssey Neo G9 monitor. So far there is almost no information about it, but a full premiere
What is known
Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 is the first in the worldmonitor equipped with an 8K ultra-wide screen. Although the resolution cannot be called "true 8K", since the panel has an aspect ratio of 32 to 9, i.e. the height of the image will be about 2250 pixels.
One of the new features is the support for the DisplayPort 2.1 standard. This is where the technical specifications of the monitor end. We will learn more about the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 in early 2023.
A full presentation will take place at CES2023, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 5 to 8 next year. The cost, of course, has not yet been specified. The price of the current G9 with a 240-Hz display with a resolution of 5120 x 1440 pixels is $2200.
