Samsung begins production of chips for Google Pixel 7 and 7 Pro

The recent Google I/O conference was marked not only by the announcement of several new products, but also by the first teasers

the company's main devices for 2022 –Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro. So far we have received very little information: the design and promise of the second generation of the Google Tensor chipset. And now the Korean blog Naver has continued this topic. According to the source, production of Google Pixel Gen 2 (why not?) will start in June. This will be a 4nm solution made using the PLP (Panel Level Packaging) method, which will reduce production costs and increase productivity. Samsung also supplies Google with DRAM and NAND Flash.

No specifics on the composition of Google TensorThe publication did not provide a second generation. It is expected that we are waiting for an upgrade of last year's structure, where three groups of cores were used: Cortex-X1, Cortex-A76 and Cortex-A55. Naturally, the system of artificial intelligence and machine learning will be updated. Google itself has set its targets as follows: photo/video, security, voice recognition.
